Unloads truck deliveries, maintains records; and manages all returns. Delivers orders to schools as per scheduled. Maintains required inventory levels; ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct; verifying stock and identifying losses; maintaining an organized warehouse layout; and processes purchase orders. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Transports orders and materials in warehouse and to schools. Receives deliveries and loads/ unloads trucks and stores properly in cooler and or freezer. Conducts physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses. Maintains manual and electronic documents, files and records (e.g. shipping accounts, purchase orders, fixed asset records, bar-coding, inventory, returns, monthly warehouse report, surplus property, electronic delivery logs of incoming freight shipments etc. for the purpose of documenting activities, and providing materials and reliable resource information. Operates warehouse equipment (e.g. forklift, hand trucks, pallet jacks etc.) for the purpose of moving large and heavy items safely and effectively and to keep warehouse coolers and freezers inventory organized. Conducts physical inventories monthly, for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses. Prepares orders by pulling from stock to meet delivery requirements. Receives stock and non-stock items for the purpose of ensuring specifications, quantity and quality of orders are correct. Researches discrepancies on orders and or invoices (e.g. overages, shortages, duplicate deliveries etc.) for the purpose of correcting errors and or returning damaged/incorrect items to vendors. Gives needed information to staff and or vendors regarding invoices, billing, status of deliveries etc. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the School Food Service Director or Commodity Clerk. JOB SPECIFICATIONS EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: High school graduate or GED preferred. Must be 18 years old. HACCP certified and one year experience with managing and or organizing warehouse deliveries preferred. Previous experience with warehouse equipment such as a forklift, pallet jack required. Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Must possess a valid drivers license. Must be able to become a licensed forklift driver. Must be able to drive a delivery truck and forklift. Good driving record necessary.
